Trigonometry, biochemistry, physics, personal branding.
What do all of these things have in common? Well, to me at least, they are all extremely difficult.
Over the past few weeks I’ve been working on several different projects, but among them is establishing my personal identity.
I think this is a good idea for anyone, whether you decide to go into business for yourself or not. But the projects I am working on make it necessary for me to develop a logo for professional purposes that captures “me.”
In today’s times, branding someone else’s venture can be challenging enough as the space “outside of the box” becomes more and more vast.
But it is even harder when branding one’s own stuff, because I believe that creative types (like me) become even more meticulous when they are called to establish a visual identity for the organized chaos that is constantly swirling through their heads.
Having a vision in mind before attempting such a feat is key, but even then, inspiration from those who have mastered personal branding can be very valuable.
So I went in search of what I thought were great examples in hopes that they will possibly help you and me put our images on the screen, too.

I really like some of those. Some, the initial letter combinations, remind me of how I used to combine my two initials for my IRL name… what an idea for my business cards!
…now I could only get the hang of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop :/
Thanks for the comment! I would definitely use that for your business card. As far as Illustrator and Photoshop are concerned I would just Google “Photoshop text effects” or “Using text in Illustrator” and check out some tutorials. I took a class in Photoshop, but I’ve learned Illustrator just by playing around with it and looking things up.
